ACT Teams - Coaches and Tryout Information

Tryouts for ACT teams generally take place in October. Tryout information will be published below and publicized by posting signs at the regular season fields for two Saturdays before the tryouts.

Players must be registered with AYSO Region 104 and must have played in at least 60% of the regular season games prior to tryouts. Players from other regions may tryout only if their region does not have an ACT program.

Players should arrive at tryouts at least 30 minutes early to sign up and walk up. Players should wear a white T-shirt and regular soccer gear, and bring water and sunscreen.

ACT teams in the same age group will hold a common tryout. There may also be one or more supplemental tryouts, which will also be publicized. Players may tryout for any team, including all teams or just a specific team. Parents are encouraged to discuss with each coach that coach's specific tournament, travel and fundraising plans, to ensure that they will be able to make the commitment required if they accept an offer to join the team.

After tryouts the coach(es) should contact all players within one week. If you have not heard from a coach within one week after tryouts, you should contact the coach or the ACT Commissioner.
