Getting on a Team
The AYSO season runs from August to April. The best way to register for AYSO is to attend one of our registration sessions in April as the season is coming to a close. That will assure you that you are on a team of players in the same age group and the same neighborhood and that the teams are balanced so that your child can have fun playing soccer. If you would like your child to play AYSO, but did not come to a registration session, you will need to contact your division registrar and ask to be put on a waiting list.
Teams are formed in late July. After that, the registrars will work to fill empty spots with players from the waiting list. Spots are filled on a first come-first served basis, so if you missed registration, you will want to act fast so that you don't miss out.
When you e-mail your division registrar to request a spot on the waiting list, include the following information:
- Child's name.
- Child's birthdate.
- APS public elementary school that serves your neighborhood.
- Contact name and number.
- E-mail address.
The cost for registration is the same whether you register before the first game or just before the last.
